In the pre-primary we have 6 teachers, 6 Helpers and a supervisor who coordinate the work of the section.

We have two sections in the pre-primary :-

Sr. K.G. : The Sr. K.G. comprises of 6 divisions with 65 students and two teachers in each class. The SR. K.G. class begins at 7:30 am and ends at 10:00 am . We teach different subjects like writing, simple maths, craft, drawing keeping in mind the overall development of the child. We also have a lot of oral work like rhymes, stories, general Knowledge and singing. All the concepts are taught and explained with lot of teaching aids. Sr. K.G. has two semester exams.

Pre-primary Class

Jr. K.G. : A child is admitted at the age of 3 1/2 yrs. in June. The Jr. K.G. comprises of 5 divisions with 72 students and 2 teachers in each class. Earlier we used to have 6 divisions but this year 1 division is cut down. The Jr. K.G. class begins at 10:30 am and ends at 1:00 pm. At the beginning of the academic year, we have mostly only oral work, slate work and colouring. Jr. K.G. has subjects like alphabet recognition, number recognition, rhymes, stories, general knowledge, conversation, singing, colouring, drawing and alphabet & number writing. For the first semester we give only a general class assessment report and second semester we conduct exams.

Both the section students are taken out to play once a week. We have play equipments like see-saw, slides and balls for the children.

We have a lot of activities in the K.G. section throughout the year. These activities are competitions like Drawing, Hindi or English singing, Fancy dress, Solo dance, Writing and Story telling. We also organize annual functions, sports, children's day, Christmas party, class photographs and picnics.

Parents and Teachers meet : Twice a year, once in the first term and once in the second term.

For entertainment and to reinforce the concepts taught in the class. We take our children to the audio visual room, which is the greatest excitement for the children. We also have a music system, which is operated from the supervisor's office and heard by the children in the class through the speakers which are fitted in the class rooms. This is operated during the Tiffin time of the children which serves as entertainment as well as helps the children to learn Rhymes and Songs through audio.
