Disciplinary Regulations
 
  1. Uniform: All students should be in their full uniform everyday.
    Boys: White half-sleeved shirt, Grey long pants for high School. Grey short pants for Middle School. Maroon ties with House colour. Plain white socks and black shoes. A short hair cut is a must.
    Girls: White half-sleeved blouses. Grey pinafore, Maroon ties with house colour. White socks and black shoes. Either short hair above the shoulders with Black colour hair band OR long hair plaited and tied up on both sides with Black colour ribbons.
    Monsoon footwear: only black monsoon footwear is allowed but not two strap slippers.
  2. At the first bell, pupils should assemble on the quadrangle in proper order. At the second bell (4 minutes later) there should be pindrop silence. At the third bell (1 minute later) Prayers begin.
  3. Catholic pupils are responsible to the Principal for the due performance of their religious duties. They are expected to go to confession. Communion oftener and to assist regularly at daily Mass.
  4. All pupils are responsible to the School Authorities for their behaviour even outside the school premises.
  5. Irregular attendance, habitual want to application, obscenity in words or acts, insubordination to teachers, any kind of cheating or serious misconduct even outside the school premises or any habit or behaviour objectionable to the good tone of the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of pupil.
  6. Politeness and Courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person are expected from every pupil. Any type of discourtesy or disrespect to members of the School Staff will be dealt with seriously.
  7. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings.
  8. Any damage done in class or about the school premises will have to be made good by those responsible for it. The decision of the Principal regarding the amount, will be final.
  9. As the school gives a vacation of six weeks in summer, three weeks in winter and one week for Christmas, no other leave will be granted in the course of the year, except incase of illness, when a Medical Certificate will have to be produced.
  10. Pupils who fail to be present on the reopening day after the summer, winter and Christmas vacations are liable to be fined to the extent of Rs. 10/- per day, unless they have taken prior written permission from the Principal.
  11. If no notice is given in time to remove the name of a pupil from the register, the pupil's name will be transferred at the close of the month to the register of the following month and the fee for that month will be charged.
  12. If pupils, for unexplained reasons, have been absent from the school for more than one month, their names are struck off the roll and as a rule they are not re-admitted.
  13. Pupils who are late or absent must bring a written application or justifications in the Absence Record in the Calendar.
  14. Pupils should participate in all co-curricular and other school activities.
  15. No pupil will be excused from Physical Training without Doctor's Certificate.
  16. No books or periodicals are to be brought in school without the approval of the Principal.
  17. Every pupil must possess a copy of the School Calendar which must be brought to the school everyday.
  18. Pupils are liable to be sent home from Class if the remarks/reports are not signed.
  19. All written work from Std. V and above should be in ink.
  20. A pupil failing two years in succession will have to leave the school.
  21. Pupil are not allowed to present the teacher with any gift, either in school or outside and arrange any function in the School or outside in honour of a teacher without the consent of the Principal.
  22. A pupil, who fails miserably in a class, will be advised to leave the school.
  23. Pupils who are found attempting to copy by bringing manuscripts, printed matter, etc. even ONCE at examination or Unit Test will be expelled from the School. Even subsequent to any Examination or Unit Test, a pupil found to have used unfair means will be expelled for the school.
  24. When moving along the corridors pupils should walk in silence and in a single unbroken file.
  25. Pupils are not allowed to leave the School premises during the working hours (including short recess) without the written permission of the Principal or written application from the Guardian signed by the Principal. FOR BREACH OF ANY OF THE SCHOOL RULES AND DISCIPLINE, PUPIL MAY BE PUNISHED OR FINED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PRINCIPAL.

 

ADVICE TO PARENTS OR GUARDIANS

  1. Parents or Guardians are earnestly requested to enforce on their charges regularity and discipline and serious application to studies.
  2. Parent or Guardian should address their complaints or grievances to the Principal and not to the teachers.
  3. Parents will not arrange with the school teacher for any tuition without the previous permission of the Principal.
  4. Parents or Guardians will not be allowed to speak or to interview teachers during the school hours.
  5. Hair style should not be done by school girls, hair should be either be bobbed with a black hair band or plaited into two plaits and tied up with a black ribbon. For boys, long hair or fanciful haircut is not allowed.
  6. Mehendi should not be applied during school days, and permission will not be granted for the same.

Managers of recognised educational institutions are required to enforce the following Principles of
discipline.

  1. Strict regularity and implicit obedience must be exacted in class.
  2. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of the institution should be punished.
  3. Parents must be given to understand that they cannot dictate to Managers, but the Managers have a right to say on what conditions they will admit or retain pupils in their institutions.
  4. Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person should be inculcated.
  5. No child suffering from a contagious or infectious disease shall be permitted to attend any recognised institution.
