This
impressive School building was
the foresight of Rev.
Fr. Pascal D'Souza. With his
long stay in the U.S.A. he worked
to give a try to the broad based
American system of education.
The growing nature of this institution
urged him to convince his superiors,
as to the urgent necessity of
having an elegant and spacious
building, with modern
amenities to house the
St. John's School . The stately
three storeyed building, with
wings spread out to the right
and left, capped by an open
air terrace, sprang up within
a period of two and a half years.
Thanks to the ardent and vigilant
supervision of Rev. Fr. Pascal
and the efforts of eminent architect
Mr. Vyom Keshav of Studio
Arch.
Rev.
Fr. Pascal was not destined
to give the final touches to
it. He collapsed due to a massive
heart attack. His remains rest
on the vast School campus. Rev.
Fr. Valerian Godinho stepped
into the shoes of Fr. Pascal.
His first task was to give the
finishing touches to the school
building. He worked day in and
day out for its completion and
got the students accommodated
comfortably in the new building
in the year 1966.
